Driving a car with a key?
Then it works just as you’d expect: lock the car with the key and take it with you. Use the key to unlock the car again later. You’ll only need the app when you want to end your trip.
Driving a keyless car, such as the Volkswagen Golf 8, ID.3 or ID.4?
Then you can lock the car in the app:
Make sure you’re outside the car.
Go to your booking in the app.
Tap ‘Lock the car’.
Double-check that the doors are locked.
That way, you can head off with peace of mind and get back in just as easily later.
