How does fast charging work?

Updated this week

You’ll mainly find fast charging stations along motorways or at large parking areas.

How fast charging works:

  1. Take the charging card from the glove compartment.

  2. Open the charging port. Also remove the lower cap so the CCS fast charging cable fits. You don’t use our car's charging cable, but the CCS connector from the charging station.

  3. Connect the CCS fast charging cable to the car.

  4. Hold the charging card against the reader on the charging station and select the CCS option.

  5. A full charge takes around 30 minutes at a 300 kW charging point. You can stop charging earlier if needed. To stop charging, use the stop button on the panel.

Want to remove the charging cable? First unlock the car using the key or (for keyless cars) via the app.
