In snow or slippery conditions, don’t accelerate too much when driving an automatic. Steer calmly and avoid braking too hard. Don’t drive in neutral, but keep the car in ‘D’.
Please note: an automatic car, like our electric shared cars, often brakes differently than a manual car. Especially if you’re used to driving manual, this is something to be aware of. Braking too hard can cause the car to skid.
If that happens, try not to panic. Stay calm and don’t turn the steering wheel suddenly. Instead, steer gently in the direction you want to go. The car’s safety systems will also help you.
